The 7023/4000 series of high-voltage current transformers was designed for current input into MI's 300 kV Loss Measurement System. This design meets both IEC and IEEE standards for testing power transformers. The bushings contain insulating gas, and are fitted with a 4-20 mA output pressure indicator or pressure transducer for continuous monitoring. The CT's primary window winding connects through a copper bar, rated to carry currents up to 4000 A.
Operating voltage up to 300 kV and 4000 A
The wide voltage and current operating range gives test facilities the flexibility for testing all power transformer and shunt reactor sizes with one setup.
Wide measurement range
Provides continuous testing capability. No changing taps during the tests. High accuracy is maintained throughout the entire range.
Burden compensation
Minimizes CT ratio errors to negligible levels. No need lead length compensation.
Partial discharge: < 10 pC
Low level ensures the test setup has negligible impact on any measurement or where partial discharge is tested.
